Addicted to growth or comfort?

We all are addicted to something. We are obsessed. We are crazy about something or someone. We are fighting like our lives depend on this thing or person. We are uncontrollable. We are out of our minds. Why are we taking all those actions?

Because you are either addicted to GROWTH or your COMFORT ZONE. Option number one is the biggest gift you can possess. Why we struggle to accomplish our goals with flying colors and fail EPIC time after time?

How to set goals? Why to set goals? Easy questions, right? Setting goals does not seem that hard. You simply think about what you crave the most for in life such as how you want your body image, character or life to be and turn these desires into measurable and specific goals, right?

Are these goals achievable, what’s the road untaken to achieve them or how to? There are a lot of questions springing up in your mind second after second. There is no clear answer or idea where to find one. Setting goals can be incredibly exciting and powerful at first, but when you try to accomplish them you get lost and feel defeated like you have failed again. The process just seems so confusing, too much work that has to be done or too much time that has to be waited for things to happen for real.

To accomplish a goal you need three powerful, key ingredients: 1) clear action plan with measurable steps, 2) determination 3) inspiring, powerful and authentic vision to accomplish when you feel exhausted and almost ready to give up.

 Making goals reality is a process that requires strong determination and tough will. How to stay focused and centered on the vision for your goal to be accomplished? It is easy just create a powerful WHY. Authentic WHY that matters for you, that makes you jump out of bed and do the impossible to achieve your goal. WHY do you want to achieve this goal so badly? How is your life going to change if you achieve it? What type of resources financial, human and informational can you use? Who has already achieved your desired goal? How can they empower you to achieve your goal too?

This all sounds great, but you need some mind map with real life strategies to empower you to make this happen for youself. Living in a material world turns or unleashes the real personality of many folks who crave about being rich. They believe this means being successful and free. There is another group who thinks that money is kind of a curse symbolizing bad luck and they keep on running away from money. The reason is lack of any real self-appreciation or old stories how money ruins the world of the good, descent, normal people.

So, money is either run away from enemy or the purpose of life. Both choices are completely insane for a smart, skillful human being who can think in rational, logical and emotional manner. Money is simply money. It is a financial reward, value you get for your hard work that enhances the lives of your customers hopefully or just for the work you do.

Money is not equivalent of success, freedom or thriving. It is financial freedom to travel more, to do more good, to support people that really need money for inspiring projects, to provide better education to younger kids. Money is here to empower you to travel more, to find yourself, to meet new people, to stop judging and to become a richer person. Richer emotionally, spiritually and sharpening your cultural senses, your appetite for new experiences.

Money does not create real, lifelong friendships, real love and beautiful romance bonds that last through the tough moments. You do not suddenly become an interesting, intriguing, funny, confident or calm person just because of money. You are simply rich; you can pay for more material stuff. Do you need them? The art of letting go and unwinding are the keys to long- term happiness and success!

Many game changers’ believe that hard work pays off and grinding until you can’t stay awake is awesome. Jumping into this lifestyle is common and the belief that the end justifies the means. Many people are ready to team up with anyone as long as this relationship brings money and power. These people find relaxing waste of time and constantly live under pressure - the pressure to succeed, to prove their power and their ability to be more than the rest. These people never let go and stop looking for more and doing more. Because they never feel like they are great enough and their life is great where they are now. The truth is that the only moment we have - is the present one.

This is not surprising, because we live in a society that teaches us that success is the end goal and we should succeed at any costs. As much as I truly believe and practice hard work combined with consistency, I do trust in learning to let go and unwind. The quality of life is not measured only by money, power, success and professional accomplishments. Many people have it all first look and feel miserable, scared and angry. These negative emotions, bitterness and constant work until too late, too often create the so called ‘’burnout’’. The professionals who are workaholics and practice work until you cannot stay awake are terrified by the ‘’burnout’’.

Everybody fears the ‘’burnout’’, but what is to be feared is our inability to truly appreciate ourselves and take care for ourselves. Because ‘’burnout’’, never mind if it is physical, mental or spiritual, is purely a result of not paying attention to yourself for way too long. Yes, life is stressful and full with challenges, this is inevitable fact. But you are the only person who can invest in yourself and learn to let go. If you don’t, sooner or later, you will feel this in a painful manner.

I will challenge you not as a coach but as a person, who challenges myself everyday to find my own balance between quest for success and learn how to let go of what I cannot change. Learning to unwind, what is not in your own control, is one of the hardest things to do when old habits and fears take over. And they sure do moment by moment that is the main reason why a few people own themselves and navigate their mental focus. But if you want to live an extraordinary life and be extraordinary, you need to learn how to do it for yourself.

There are a few simple ways that will get you closer to your real self - strong, courageous and full with love. For example, working out, spending time with friends, practicing yoga, meditating and simply spending time in the nature are a great ways to unwind. As every hard change, this won’t happen overnight, but if you don’t invest in your biggest life project -YOURSELF - no one else will do it for you. Find your ways to reduce the tension and feel more at ease, trusting the process of life and letting go.
